Pooja
Title: Seeker
Age: 22
About Me:
My family is originally from Nepal, a small country in Southeast Asia and home of the Himalayas, but I was born in Los Angeles, California and brought up in America. My family has been devotees of Sathya Sai Baba since my youth. Over the long run, I plan to teach in higher education.
One connection that I am grateful to have in my life is Swami Sai Premananda. My faith in God, my interest in spiritual practices, the opportunity to serve in a higher purpose, the desire and way to better myself—all of these are due to him. Swamiji continously reminds me what the true purpose of life is through his own example, to completely love and serve God, for me Sathya Sai Baba.
Each step of the journey brings new beauty, new surprises, and new lessons. Through the passage of time, the changes and reflections, the one constant of God is there that I hope to connect to always—the eternal parent, friend, and guide. There are so many ways to relate to God to be explored, as a friend, servant, dear one, and maybe my favorite, as a child unto the mother. In his eyes, all my ideas about spirituality and life in general must sound like a child’s prattle and anything I can offer him, just a small flower from his infinite garden; if this is true for even the greatest yogi, then how much more so it must be for a beginning seeker like me.
I love the simple beauties in life and to step beyond the mind, name, and form and connect to the flow within. This flow can also be called consciousness, energy, intelligence, spirit, life force, God, or love.
