Pooja
Title: Seeker
Age: 23
Location: St. Louis ![]()
About Me:
My family is from Nepal, home of the Himalayas, but I was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in America. Though a developing country, Nepal is rich in inner philosophy and community bonds.
I am currently in Ph.D. studies in Organizational Behavior. That means you can find me reading and writing a great deal for the next four years, amidst other things.
But in the greater picture, I am a student in the school of life, seeking the truth and what a truly meaningful existence would be, both as an individual soul and in the evolution of humanity.
One project that I am connected to is working with refugees in St. Louis. The US has agreed to settle over 60,000 Bhutanese refugees, and there are 300 such Bhutanese refugees in St. Louis, with 1 family arriving weekly.
My family has been devotees of Sathya Sai Baba, a spiritual teacher in India that teaches unity of faiths, love, and service, since my youth. It is difficult to imagine life without knowing of him, for he is deeply intertwined in my life and values and also the joy of my life.
I wish you peace and beauty on your journey. I will end with a prayer to the Divine Mother, also understood as the lifeforce, consciousness, or love.
Mother, take me from untruth to truth, darkness to light, death to immortality.
